Stanislaus

My man, Stan, get wind of the plan
Did you see your bosses do tricks with their sleeve?
I care about love but does it seem right
to love 'em much more as I do when they leave?

They tell me they love you to do double time
Keep minimum wages and bank and behave
We're renting to own, pay bills like a clerk
on a bench by the candle light, tight in our cave

God, wake up by dawn
O, thank you for sleep
All ready what ever comes down
For love or to love you as long as we keep
one nostril in air we won't drown

Am I resonating the future you see:
Atlas' world order shrugs God off like dust?
O, how it will be when the work is done free
Our love is thrown under her fast moving bus

So soon will be Christmas I'm singing along
Sweet music again in the world and beyond
I'm so in love, Stan, always my best man
I'll really miss you whenever you're gone..

..na-na na, na - na-na na, na - hey, hey...

I'm marching up the mountain of the kings of Babylon
truly, sorely, tempted, the eternal Father's Son
among these wild animals damn desert storm kicks up
no shit just for this moment what you Lucifer corrupt

oo, balance point the Temple where my hunger turns to pain
propped on papal powers, ash, and the ruins of Rome and Spain
and, down below an angel's watching if I lose my mind,
but I can't get carried away right now, it is not my time

so, why you wanna spear me where it hurts and watch me die?
no one, no, not one, is righteous but our God and I
the Word wild men must live off, not on turkey seed and brawn,
will smash these stones to pieces, celebrate when you are gone
and I kinda doubt I'll miss you when you're gone,
highly doubt I'll miss you when you're gone..
